Constitution of Care Tarot cards
Together with kainkollektiv, Inter Alia (Athens) and Fundacja Performat, we have been offering a multilocational experiment “Schools of Care”. It has concluded with a constitution Constitution of Care. But rather than drafting new laws for transformation of the education, our Constitution of Care consists of scores that aim to inspire new experiences and encounters – with other people, places, perspectives, practices. It is designed as a deck of cards that, like in Tarot cards or in some fantastic card games, are carried by the portraits of their secret protagonists, i.e. the members of our team and networks. However, the cards do not constitute a completed system or closed gaming order. They are, on the contrary, an open and playful invitation to use them as you like – individually or together with others, as inspiration for the imagination or for testing out concrete act(ion)s. Each card reveals a score that gives a different impulse. Some connect to the outer environment, others to your own inner landscape. Some contain a concrete practical task, others ask you to join in and imagine new scores yourself. What they all call for is to explore the relationship between the constitution of our present living and being together – here and now – and the idiosyncratic, subjective constitutions that each one brings with them into the game, i.e. the multiple ways in which we care for ourselves, each other and the world.
Portraits of astists, activists, shamans, political philosophers inhabit real and imaginary Akadimia Platonos Grove.
